Millers Tales – About the Editor

About The Editor

Ann Hacker, who took a year away from the Mill to work on a project of her own, has mercifully resumed her roles as Publicity Officer and Editor of the “Millers’ Tales”, much to everyone’s relief. A few years ago, Ann published “Shooting the Breeze”, an entertaining account of her adventures as assistant to a wildlife photographer in remote regions of Africa, the book featuring her own clever, often amusing illustrations.

Ann has since been struggling to find the time to complete a fanciful epic children’s book in verse with vivid, enchanting watercolour illustrations. In South Africa, Ann worked in advertising and then as creative director with a large Publishing Company, so her very special expertise and flair is a godsend to McCrossin’s Mill Museum.

“The Millers’ Tales” is the Uralla Historical Society’s (UHS) newsletter.  It is published quarterly, printed and posted out free to all members, sponsors, patrons and councillors.  The Newsletter keeps all members informed on the latest news and up-to-date happenings at McCrossin’s Mill Museum, Gallery and Function Centre.
